The Pleasure Dome Theatre Company presents their 2017 Summer Season: The Importance of Being Earnest, set in the unique outdoor setting of Valley of Rocks, Lynton on Exmoor.
Tickets are now available for the fifteen evening and two Sunday afternoon matinee performances between 8th and 26th August 2017.
The Importance of Being Earnest - A Trivial Comedy for Serious People forms the centre piece for exceptional open-air entertainment for the community and visitors to Exmoor. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the rugged rocks, the Pleasure Dome Theatre Company bring Oscar Wilde's comic masterpiece to life with this interactive production (be prepared to get involved as there is a "promenade" element to the production!).
The fun kicks off at 7.30 pm (or 3.30 pm for the matinees) (when the performance will start) but feel free to arrive whenever you want to explore the U-shaped dry valley with its feral goats and unusual rock formations, or enjoy a picnic in the sunshine.
Please note: although this is presented in the height of summer, it can get chilly in the evening, so bring warm clothing, blankets and cushions (but remember you'll need to take everything with you during the promenade section).
If rain is due, the production will be moved to Lynton Town Hall (updates will be available on the Pleasure Dome Theatre Facebook page).
