The 6th Addaction National Conference is coming to the South East

Hosted by Addaction, our 2016 event is taking place at the Copthorne Gatwick Hotel in Sussex on 21 and 22 November.

The theme of the conference is ‘Addiction and Mental Health’, and we have guest from across the drug and alcohol sector as well as the mental health provision. Connecting addiction and emotional well being is important and this conference should provoke, inspire and create some very engaging discussions

The National Conference also allows drug and alcohol professionals to develop practical, useful knowledge of recovery and treatment which can be applied to their everyday jobs. Health and drug treatment commissioners will have a unique opportunity to learn more about Addaction’s services and pioneering initiatives such as The Amy Winehouse Foundation Resilience Programme, Drink Wise Age Well and Fulfilling Lives.

• Gold - £195  (Ticket includes full pass to both days, entrance to Gala Dinner)


• Silver - £165  (Ticket includes full pass to both days)


• Bronze - £135  (1 day ticket for either day)

Places are free for people in recovery (costs still apply for accommodation and Gala dinner)

The National Conference is an ‘immersive experience’. The thinking behind this is that when people attend the whole event, they are fully immersed in a ‘recovery bubble’ learning about and celebrating people’s recovery achievements, experiences and idea. If you book the Platinum all you need to do is get yourself there and back.  Addaction will provide the rest (a first class conference, top notch gala entertainment, hotel accommodation for the Monday night and food and drink throughout ). 

Don’t forget – if you are in recovery, and you do not work for an organisation that can support the cost of your registration, you can attend the event for free.

Addaction helps people change their behaviour to become the very best that they can be. It could be their drug or alcohol use or worries about their mental health – we support people to making lasting change in their lives.

Addaction has hosted the Recovery Conference since 2010 (held in Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Glasgow & Greater Manchester), with previous speakers including Johan Hari, Mark Johnson MBE, George De Leon,Janey Godley, Professor Bruce Alexander, Kevin Kennedy and Professor David Nutt, amongst many others.
