Chiswick at the Musicals

Be transported to the world of musical theatre; bringing you some of the best-known and popular songs from West End and Broadway. Starring West End & Broadway Leading Lady RUTHIE HENSHALL, with VIVIEN CARTER (Chicago, Evita, Guys & Dolls), CRAIG MATHER (Les Misérables, The Wind in the Willows), MIKE CHRISTIE (Star of vocal harmony group G4) and TESSA KADLER (Carousel, Pippin).

You can expect to hear songs by Rodgers & Hammerstein, a nod to Les Misérables, an offering from Oliver! which will include a song by the children involved in our musical theatre workshops. We'll also be celebrating new musicals with songs from Waitress, Dear Evan Hensen and Amélie as well as songs featured in recent musical films including Mary Poppins, West Side Story, Moana and The Greatest Showman. Plus there will be a selection from Chicago to honour Ruthie Henshall's record of being the first ever woman to play the lead three female roles in the musical. Our five soloists will be joined by a vocal ensemble and accompanied by a live 12-piece Musical Theatre band.

The gates will open two hours before the main show, for you to come and enjoy a picnic and soak in the atmosphere while you are serenaded by a host of supports acts, including ROCK CHOIR CHISWICK, FALCONS PRE-PREP SCHOOL, SPIRIT YOUNG PERFORMERS, MEANTIME CHORUS and students from ARTS'ED. There will be a bar and a selection of stalls with hot and cold food, as well as ice cream and strawberries & cream.

Gates open: 17:30
Main concert: 19:30-21:30
Gates close: 22:00

This is a ticketed event and all children will need a valid ticket to gain entry, including the FREE tickets for those who are 2 and under.
