Motivating & Retaining Volunteers

Volunteers are vital to the smooth running and success of many sports clubs, however it has been evidenced that is becoming increasingly difficult in recruiting and retaining these volunteers. This workshops aims to provide an insight on why volunteers join and leave organisations, plus it will give you information on how to retain and reward these volunteers. 

By the end of the session participants will:

* have information on what motivates people 

* have information on the de-motivators 

* be able to identify signs and causes of de-motivation 

* be able to choose various ways of dealing with de-motivation 

* have an understanding of why volunteers leave 

* have explored dissatisfaction and how to deal with it

* have discussed methods of recognising and rewarding volunteers
